Let’s Encrypt works toward post-quantum certificates at web scale

Let’s Encrypt is pursuing a post-quantum-safe Web PKI using Merkle Tree Certificates, aiming to add post-quantum authentication without sacrificing TLS speed and reliability. It targets a staging environment issuing MTCs in late 2026 and a production-ready environment in 2027.
