Anthropic brings Mythos to the masses with Claude Fable 5, its most powerful generally available model ever

Anthropic launched Claude Fable 5 for general use and Claude Mythos 5 for vetted users, bringing Mythos-class capabilities beyond its Project Glasswing program. Fable 5 adds safeguards that route high-risk requests to Opus 4.8, while Mythos 5 lifts some limits but has restricted access. Both cost $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens, and require 30-day data retention.
